Raymond Smith

Raymond Smith joined Watershed Partners in October 2002 to provide a New York presence and local contact for the expanding list of Watershed clients in the tri-state area.

Raymond has provided comprehensive project management on projects for L'Oreal, Frette, David Barton, Club Monaco, Paul Miller Auto Group (BMW, Porsche, Jaguar and Land Rover), Habberstad Auto Group (BMW & Mini), CHANEL, Tiffany, Watches of Switzerland, David Yurman and Ralph Lauren.  He managed the construction of a condominium building attached to the historic Gramercy Park Hotel for Ian Schrager.

Raymond took the lead in an aggressive and demanding Ralph Lauren project: a new ground up building at 72nd and Madison to replace the existing Polo Sports store. This project involved demolition of an existing fifty-year-old structure while maintaining the façade of the adjacent one hundred and thirty-year-old brownstone, followed by construction of a new Ralph Lauren flagship store from footings up.

Raymond worked for two-plus years with Apple as a Development Manager for their New York City region.  Raymond was responsible for leading the teams to complete five new Apple Stores, manage the preservation of the Tri-State Area stores and complete numerous satellite offices and small works projects.

Raymond is focused on bringing to the table the best-exprienced team members from the Tri-State area to create an ensemble cohesive team to provide the client with the best possible assets to start the project from concept and turn it over for operations and open for business.

Mr. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Wentworth in Boston, MA. He has 31 years of varied construction experience in New York City working with Morse Diesel International, Bovis Lend Lease and for the past 20+ years, with Watershed Partners.
